Come join your friends in a friendly board game!  Over a hundred games to choose from!

Over-Sized Board Game Room – All Weekend

Join us all weekend long for the largest games you’ve ever seen!  We will have Carcassonne (with 4″ tiles), Settlers of Catan – Wisconsin (5′ x 5′), Settlers of Catan – Dr. Who (5′ x 5′), Trans America (4′ x 6′), and Snakes & Rainbows (Chutes & Ladders 8′ x 8′).  Open play all throughout Evercon.

Open Axis & Allies, Risk, and War Games Room – All Weekend

Love War Board Games?  Well we have lots to choose from!  Many versions of Axis & Allies and Risk, or how about Shogun, Samurai Swords, The American Civil War or Fortress America?  Open play all throughout Evercon.

Open Chess and Cribbage Room – All Weekend

Open play all throughout Evercon. Free Chess lessons to beginners upon request.

Cribbage Round Robin Tournament – Friday, 7:00 p.m.

Join us for an open round robin cribbage tournament!  Each player will get to play up to 6 players with prizes awarded for first and second.  There is no fee to entry this tourney.

Longshot – Friday, 7:00 p.m.

Can you take down the former President of the D.C. Everest Gaming Club?! Then join him for a game of Longshot!  Longshot is a unique, horse racing board game where any dice roll or card can impact the game. Own a horse and win the purse!

Risk Board Game – Saturday, 9:00 a.m.

Traditional Risk: Strategy board game. The standard version is played on a board depicting a political map of the Earth, divided into forty-two territories, which are grouped into six continents. The object of the game is to occupy every territory on the board and in doing so, eliminate the other players.

Open Chess Tournament – Saturday, 9:30 a.m.

Open Chess tournament starting at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, registration starts at 9:30 a.m. Free entry, anyone can play. The time control will be 15 minutes to each player, with 5 rounds.

Pokemon 3DS Tourney – Saturday, 10:00 a.m.

Pokemon X, Y, Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire tournament without legendary Pokemon or Pokemon obtained through illegitimate means. All Pokemon will be set to level 50 and the matches will be single elimination. Participants will need to bring their own 3DS’s and games. Minimum participants is 10. Participants are strongly advised to bring their own charge cord.

The Settlers of Catan – Saturday, 10:00 a.m.

The Settlers of Catan is a multiplayer board game designed by Klaus Teuber and first published in 1995 in Germany by Franckh-Kosmos Verlag (Kosmos) as Die Siedler von Catan. Players assume the roles of settlers, each attempting to build and develop holdings while trading and acquiring resources. Players are rewarded points as their settlements grow; the first to reach a set number of points is the winner.

Shadows Over Camelot – Saturday, 11:00 a.m.

Shadows over Camelot, the unique collaborative game featuring a malevolent twist! As the incarnation of the Knights of the Round Table, you join forces against the game itself in an attempt to protect Camelot. Your victory hinges on the successful completion of legendary Quests, such as the search for Excalibur, the Holy Grail, or Lancelot’s Armor; the tournament against the Black Knight; and numerous wars against the Saxons and Picts.

Axis & Allies, Spring 1942 – Saturday 12:00 p.m.

It’s spring 1942, and the world is at war. Five major powers struggle for supremacy: Germany and Japan are aligned against the great alliance of the United Kingdom, the Soviet Union, and the United States.  Controlling one of the Axis or Allied powers, players will command both their country’s military forces and its war-time economy, with the chance to plan attacks, marshal forces into embattled territories, and resolve conflicts. Victory will go to the side that conquers its opponents on the field of battle and liberates or occupies the greatest cities of the world.

Magic the Gathering Draft – Saturday 1:00 p.m.

Magic the Gathering Booster Draft. Drafting current block. Entry $10.00. Rounds will be paired Swiss so all participants will play multiple matches. Prizes grow with every player that joins. Duration will depend on # of players.

Grand National Pro-Am Regional By-election Munchkin Tournament – Saturday, 1:00 p.m.

Fight for glory! Fight for honor! Fight for the biggest numbers possible on a character sheet! This is a open tournament for players of Munchkin, where top winners will be ranked on a leader board through the event, and the most OP, souped up broken Munchkin will take home the bragging rights of Best Player NA.

Yu-Gi-Oh Advanced Constructed – Saturday 1:30 p.m.

Constructed Yu-Gi-Oh deck required. Entry $ 5.00. Rounds will be paired Swiss so all players will play multiple matches. All  players receive a pack just for entering. Prizes will grow with every player that joins. Duration depends on # of players.

Red Dragon Inn Tournament – Saturday, 2:00 p.m.

Come one, come all, to the Red Dragon Inn! The adventure is over and your band of comrades are ready for a night of drinking and gambling in a fine tavern. Play as one of the 22 characters for a chance to win a copy of the Red Dragon Inn 4. Free to play.

Heroscape – Saturday, 4:00 p.m.

Heroscape is an expandable turn-based miniature wargaming system. The game is played using pre-painted miniature figures on a board made from interlocking hexagonal tiles that allow for construction of a large variety of 3D playing boards.

Pokemon Card Tournament – Saturday, 4:00 p.m.

Traditional 3 Round Pokemon card tournament.

Betrayal at House on the Hill – Saturday, 7:00 p.m.

You and your group of friends have decided to explore the mysterious House on the Hill and uncover it’s secrets. However, one of you, is not what they appear to be. One of you had their own agenda in leading you here, and before they unleash whatever horrors await you, you must prepare yourself for the Betrayal at the House on the Hill.

Evolution – Saturday, 7:00 p.m.

In Evolution, players create and adapt their own species in a dynamic ecosystem with predators and limited resources. Traits like Hard Shell and Horns will protect you from Carnivores, while Long Neck will help you get food others can’t. With 4,000 species to create, every game is a different adventure!
